Default blackberry BES recovery

Guys, not sure exactly sure where this belongs, but I have a fairly urgent issue. I have my 8330 Curve on a BES server thru work. I was napping today, and my 2yr old got a hold of my phone. It WAS locked. Now the issue... When I try to unlock the device it says... "Please enter "blackberry" to continue." I would be under the understanding that the password was entered incorrectly 10 times, and the device will wipe itself when I enter the word blackberry. Is there any way to NOT erase the device? I haven't backed it up in quite some time... PLEASE HELP!!

No it asked you to enter blackberry to make sure you can not hitting random keys trying to log in. Or as i like to think make sure your not drunk an can type. after you enter blackberry it will ask you for your password. Hope that helps

yea, making you enter in "blackberry" is another way to make sure the device is not accidentally wiped. The first time the "enter blackberry" appears is around the 6th attempt or so. So basically the device is doing it's job protecting itself against your 2 year old

if your phone is on a BES call IT had have them lock and set a password then just enter that password.
