Blackberry with BES and Exchange ongoing sync problems

My Blackberry 9650 OS 5 is running against a BES 5 server and Microsoft Exchange 2007. I have recurring sync problems as follows:

- Emails deleted on Outlook/OWA side do not delete on Blackberry
- Emails filed on Outlook/OWA side do not file on Blackberry
- Read/unread statuses do not sync from Outlook/OWA side to Blackberry

Syncs work perfectly when initiated from the Blackberry side.

I've been through all the basic stuff like wireless reconcile = on and Delete on = "Mailbox and Handheld". My settings never change. The problem is temporarily fixed when we re-enterprise activate the Blackberry and/or resend service books. Shortly thereafter the problem returns. The wireless reconcile settings haven't changed in the meantime.

Emails deleted on Outlook/OWA side do not delete on Blackberry

If you hard-delete the email (shift-delete or permanent delete) or if you delete the email, then immediately empty your Deleted Items, the email becomes orphaned to the BB, and it will not do anything with it. Is this what's happening?

What do you mean, filed? Like into sub-folders of your Inbox? If yes, what behaviour are you looking for on your BB?

I wasn't doing the hard delete but you taught me something new - I didn't realize that would happen.

By filing I meant that if I filed them on the Outlook or OWA side those emails should get the folder icon on the blackberry.

Read-status wise, I've waited days.

I incorrectly stated my issue and when I realized that it gave me a clue as to the issue. I was incorrect that the problems happen even which actions are done via OWA. When done via OWA, all works as expected on the Blackberry. Since it works in OWA and not in Outlook, Outlook is my culprit, likely cached exchange mode, which I'll now troubleshoot!
