BESx Questions/ Problems
We just migrated to BESx from BPS. I'm having some problems with remote file access, device internet access routing and email folders - Remote File Access - As a domain admin, I can access files on our network shares from my S2. However, I tried to get 2 other users to access public shares and they cannot. I'm using a S2 with OS 5.0.451. They are using S1's with OS 5.0.0.328. Both are in the domain users group and have read/ write access to the share or contents within the share. From windows they can see the shares and edit the contents within specific folders (based on their access levels).
What is necessary to ensure that users have access to network shares on their Blackberry's using BESx?
Can I set up and push the shares through BESx? - Internet access - It appears that all of the devices are routing internet access through the corporate network. We know this because sports sites are being blocked from our devices and we are getting the message from our barracuda device. I can't seem to find the setting on BESx to fix this.
- Email folders - I migrated several users from the BPS server to BESx. I did so without a wipe and everything seemed smooth. On at least 2 devices, I had to do the RSET command to re-download the address book and eliminate duplicates. Emails appear fine in the inbox, but when you go to view folders, you see 2 mailboxes and 2 sets of folders. Is there a quick way to fix this without a wipe? Enterprise Activation doesn't fix this whether OTA or local.
