Default BESX for Domino YAY!!

The question is how do I migrate my BPS Domino server.

I suppose I'll have to look at some of those "Migrating BESX on Exchanged" posts.

Too bad they can't get it running on Linux!

You cannot migrate from a Domino BES to an Exchange BES. You will need to wipe and reactivate your handsets after migrating all the data from their domino mail file to the exchange mailbox. You also cannot use the same SRP on both BES servers if they are going to live at the same time. You would have to decommision the Domino BES and then use the SRP and auth key from that server on the new Exchange BES. If you want them both live at the same time you could get a 60 day temp key from RIM.

I'm not talking about migrating Domino to Exchanged (all I'll day on that front is "cost of everything, value of nothing") I'll have to migrate my Domino BPS to a Domino BESX, and looking at the "Migrating BES on Exchanged to Exchanged BESX" might give me some hints

Thers is no upgrade path from BPS to BES Express. You will have to unistall BPS and delete the domino>data>BES directory and the BESMgmt database. The install BES Express and wipe you handsets and reactivate.

But there is from BPS to Full BES. You will need an upgrade CAL. Then remove BPS and install Full BES.

Have you done anything like this before, or do you require help?
