Default BESX and Blackberry 6

Hey everyone,

Just have a couple questions in regards to BESX and Blackberry 6.

For starters, is it possible to include the remote email server search functionality within Universal Search? Its kind of annoying that you need to go into an advanced search in order to find remote content...

Also - more BES specifics, when users delete/reads/moves emails off of their phones it removes/reads/moves from the desktop client immediately, but when doing it from the desktop it does not on the phone. What setting am I missing on the BES to sync both ways?

I am running BESX on a Server 2008 SP2 box with Exchange 2010.

Thanks guys!

As I haven't had my exposure to Blackberry 6 yet. I can only answer the second part of your question....

When a user changes the status of a message on their device, the device immediately sends the change of information to the server and updates the status on the machine. When they change the status on the machine, the Blackberry Server Software puts all the changes in a queue. When the device polls the server for changes (every 10 minutes or so, and cannot be changed) the updates will appear on device. One way around this is to open your messages folder on your device press the menu button and scroll down to 'reconcile now'. Any status changes queued for the device will be polled from the server immediately.

Hope this answers your question.
Charles.
