BESx 5.0.1 on SBS 2008 (SBS2003 Migration)
Hello everyone,
After doing some extensive research on migrating from SBS 2003 to SBS 2008, I've come to the blackberry portion of it.
OLD SERVER:
-SQL 2005 with Management Express(db backed up)
-EXCHANGE 2003
-BESx 5.0.1
NEW SERVER
-SQL 2005 with Management Express(db restored)
-EXCHANGE 2007
-BESx 5.0.1
I can login to both SQL's old one is still running for the meantime, I just need one answer to something because I dont want to mess up the server. Even though I point the new BESx installation to the new database with cloned tables in it. BESx still insists on installing SQL 2008 Native Client? I have no idea why it wants to do that since I already have a 2005 instance with its required database in it.
Since its an SBS install, it uses the SQL 2005 for monitoring purposes. I would hate to install SQL 2008 overtop and have my system unstable in a month because the O/S cant access its database.
Please help.
