Default BESX: 2 Simple Questions

Ok, my apologies if this has been posted before, I just need a straight answer from people that know the answer... I continue to get different answers from IT guys.

If the business I work for gets BESX...

1. Can I use my BB which only has BIS Data Plan and NOT an Enterprise Server plan?

2. How would you rate the security of BESX vs. BES?

Thank you very much for your responses.

Yes you can. The device will need to be Enterprise Activated through a USB cable

It depends what you mean by security. All of the encryption is there, but there are a number of security related IT policies that are not available.

Thanks... I was confident about being able to use BIS, just making sure I'm not nuts...

And, as long as all the same encryption is used, I am completely satisfied. Many of those IT policies are unnecessary for such a small business (12 employees, 3 using Blackberry)

Thanks for the insight.
