bes policy push tcp ports

any ideas how the BES policy is actually sent over the air to the device?
what TCP ports or protocols it is using ?

I wasn't sure if it is using configuration SMS (probably not) or MDS/WAP push or some other method. i would think that there shouldn't be any firewall issues with that but debugging is difficult since no information given
