    Default Bes Activation

    Hi All,

I have a bit of a problem, we have a runniung BES server, company employees are able to send and receive emails. I have another Blackberry set Curve 9300 on which I am trying to do enterprise activation. Steps which I am able to do

    1. Received Activation password email from BES Admin
    2. I have entered the email address and password in the phone.
    3. Received an email from network@eu.blackberry.net with a DAT file attachment (The email is in my inbox not in subfolders).

After performing these steps phone remains on "contacting server". After this the following error comes "The BlackBerry Enterprise Server has not responded to your activation request. An error may have occurred"

Please advise, your help will be highly appreciated.

Is the phone properly provisioned for BES data rather than a standard carrier data plan or just BIS data?

We had a similar issue. Turned out to be because we were running 5.0.2 instead of 5.0.3. Upgraded to 5.0.3, and the problems immediately went away.

I've also seen this issue. Deleting and then re-creating the user in BES cured it here.
