Default BES 5.0 Issues after install

First off let me say the documentation leaves a lot to be desired. Did the cut over on a new box upgrading my original database.

Things went ok and all of my users still functioned without having to reactivate. There were a couple issues I can post if someone needs them. However I have one issue now someone here might help me with. I have updated device software I would like to push out. It is complicated how you do that but here is my issue. In the software bundle I got from Verizon it does not seem to correctly say it came from Verizon at least not enough to make BES happy. I wondered if anyone knows where the carrier information is stored in the loader files.

I know "how" to do it. The p[problem I have is that the BES server doesn't recognize the loader bundle as being from a correct carrier.

One or more BlackBerry Device Software bundles were detected for a specific carrier. No devices exist in the system for this carrier. The bundles were not added.

Have you found anything out about this issue yet? We are having the same issue.

I found a file called Vendor.XML in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. I went through the whole thing and found my version of the OS was not listed. I edited the file to include our version, but it still didn't work.

The information is stored int he .alx files, you have to know the carrier number. Let me know if this is the information that you were requesting.

If your doing a USB firmware upgrade of a device using firmware from another network you have to delete the vendor.xml file. Has anyone tried this?

Default Push

I have only got this to work with firmware that Verizon allows OTA upgrades on. I got it to work on my 9530. Just search for software bundles. I have yet to get the shared network drives to work.
