Installing SP3 will take more time than any version 5 SP I've installed so far.

You must uninstall MDS Integration Services before installing SP3.
Here is the KB article on just how to do that.
KB25047-How to uninstall the BlackBerry MDS Integration Service

I haven't actually got to look at SP3 yet because of the pre-req's are slowing me down. Since I wasn't running SP2 MR2 or 3 I now have to upgrade to that before upgrading to SP3 and then SP3 MR1. lol

SP3 seems to do what I want it to. Tested the Balance policy options and wiped the corporate data off my phone without it affecting the personal info at all.

I like being able to sort and rearrange search result columns, and the ability to assign wifi profiles to groups. Makes things a lot easier. Haven't tried the Balance options yet.

A tip for everyone, when you upgrade to 5.0.3 on Exchange, make sure your MAPI/CDO is the correct version. I had 8153, which was supported under SP2, but doesn't work as well on SP3. I didn't see any end user issues, but it did cause literally about 10,000 extra log files to be created. Each one was only 12k, but I didn't want to end up running into other issues later. I upgraded to 8190, and that fixed it. 8165 is listed as supported. 8153 is under limited support.

Has anyone done the uninstall of the BB MDS integration service for Bes 5.0? I am current on 5.0.2 current MR and have some reservation about uninstalling a bes component from a bes that runs with no issues. I have read the KB document and seems straightforward but have been burned before.

You have to do the removal before you can install 5.0.3 It is straight forward and worked for me. If you are unsure, then take a snapshot (if you can) of the machine before you do the work. That way you have a safety net to fall into if it doesn't work right the first time.
