Default BES 5.0.3 for Lotus Domino - Not able to see domino users on BES

Hi

I installed BES 5.0.3 for Lotus Domino. Installation showed that its successful but when i create a new user on BES it is showing the following error.

"The BlackBerry Administration Service cannot find the records you were looking for. Verify the search criteria you specified and try again."

Already created some 5 users on the Domino. I tried all the possible solutions in the forums like
  • checking the DIIOP is running or not on the domino server,
  • checked "Use dynamic ports or specify SQL Port" option in BlackBerry Server Configuration -> Database Connectivity,
  • Refresh available user list from compnay directory

Still no luck. Am i missing anything?

Here is my configuration:
  • BES 5.0.3 running on a virtual machine with SQL Server express on the same machine
  • Domino 8.5 running on a different virtual machine with DIIOP task running
  • Secondary Domino server running on the virtual machine which hosts BES
  • These 2 machines BES/Domino are not added to any windows domain. Could this be a prob? Installed the software on local administrator. This is the reason, I gave the FQDN as the IP address of Domino.
  • Both the Domino servers (primary and the one on the BES) are able to properly sync the names.nsf. I can confirm that.
  • Look at the attached screen, On the BAS -> BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component view > View (Email), the Domino server name, Address book name and Contact server name, Database name are empty. During BES installation i gave all the fields that are prompted, how come these details are not populated? Did i do anything wrong during installation? What these values should be? My primary domino server name is Mail01/UCC and secondary domino (the one on the BES machine) is BES/UCC.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Try the "Edit component" button, and see if you can enter the name of the BES/Domino server there -- Try "BES/UCC", and if that doesn't work try "CN=BES/O=UCC". Not sure if that will solve your problem but it might get the BES Server to see the Domino domain. One more thing, are both Domino servers on the same Notes Named Network? Not doing that can cause unpredictable results with mail routing.

Hi Tiassa,

Thx for the reply. I tried the solution that you suggested but no luck. i tried BES/UCC, CN=BES/O=UCC, Mail01/UCC and CN=Mail01/O=UCC. It is giving the error "One of the added mailstore domains was not valid."

Regarding the Notes Named Network, i need to chk and get back to you

Random thought -- are you running the Domino version of BES? They are different downloads and (I'm guessing) different code. Sorry, but I"ve got nothing else, when I built my BES(x) it went relatively cleanly
