Hello,
We are running BES 5.0.1 and were looking at patching to SP2 and then MR1 for that service patch but after reading the release notes for both of these upgrades, are having second thoughts.
In the release notes for BES for MS Exchange SP2 it states in the known issues for the Administration Service:
"Due to an incorrect value in the BlackBerry Configuration Database,
you might not be able to delete users
and the BlackBerry Administration Service log file includes the following error message: " [org.hibernate.util.JDBCExceptionReporter] [ERROR] Violation of UNIQUE KEY constraint 'IX_HandheldConfig_Name'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.HandheldConfig'" (DT 716329)"
This seems quite severe and there is no workaround and nothing mentioning this in Maintenance Release 1 for SP2. I searched around the BlackBerry site for references or KB's but I only see the release notes themselves.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this "known issue"?
I am not going to patch to a version that stops me from deleting an account since that is the only way to fix another "known issue" of when an activation stalls and you must delete the user and re-create and re-activate them.
