Default BES 4.1 Contacts not Syncing

I am a BES admin and we support about 300 users. There is one user whos contacts will not sync... I have tried the following -
1. Device wipe/OS reinstall/deleted account off BES and readded
2. Deleted Desktop(SYNC) from service books and resent service books from BES
3. Deleted the service book, waited 5 mins then undeleted it

The strange thing is - The device reports there is no place to synchronize when i go to options in contacts, but the BES says that sync is enabled bidirectionally and it says "TRUE" for synchronization enabled on device... which is the opposite of what the device reports.
We are running domino and the user is on 8.5 mailfile template if that information is of any assistance. BES 4.1.6.15

Any ideas you have that I have not tried would be nice... Thanks!

If it is just this one user, then perhaps there is something wrong with his contacts in Domino, something that the BES is failing to handle. Can you move all of his contacts somewhere else and create a handful of test contacts to see if they sync?

This should be easy-
You need this user's contacts available on the server. You can accomplish this via sync/replication to the mail file or roaming. Check for errors in whichever method you're using during replication. If it's the mail file, are all contacts on his client available when you view the contacts in his mail file?

Next, on the BES side make sure you have a 'pointer' to the file where the conacts are stored relative to the data directory. For example, MAIL\MAILFILE.NSF -and- make sure you have the correct server name indicated.
