Default BB pops up Enterprise Activation screen by itself..

I have searched this site, I have not found mention of this same problem on Crackberry.
I help support a company running BES (BPS V4.1.4.15) and their handsets are model 8100. Provider is Vodafone New Zealand.

Three out of the ten users are having this same issue:
The handset randomly goes to the enterprise activation screen. It can be sitting on the users desk unused for half an hour, he picks up the handset and its at the Enterprise Activation screen. For one guy its happening all the time, the other it seems to be overnight. In the morning it will be at that screen.

They can cancel out of that screen, and everything works as per usual.

So if anyone can help - why do these devices jump to the Enterprise Activation screen for no apparent reason?

This is a wild guess, but do they have bluetooth enabled?

Whilst this is the 8100 forum, a good place to ask questions about the 8100, indeed, you may get better aswers over in the BlackBerry Administrators frorum http://forums.crackberry.com/f50/.

I'll report this thread - in a nice way, and ask the mods to move your thread over there. Hopefully you will then receive meaningful answers.

Just thinking when they're home, if they have bluetooth on their computer, and a personal device, the BES might come up to prevent them from any activity. Could be way off base, don't use BES, but it was a thought, and apparently the only thought.

That is a strange problem. Are they using desktop manager by chance?

My thought is that the activation is not complete(missing tasks or something that they wont notice). When it is hooked up to desktop manager it kicks off the activation again trying to finish the previous activation.

I believe they do use DM. I know that DM may have caused another problem with their calenders, maybe it is the cause of this also. The extreme fix would be wipe the device, delete the BES account, disable the Sync option in DM and start all over again... but its kinda drastic and I dont want to go down that path for each user unless i really have to.

You mentioned they can cancel it and it will work fine. Has anyone just let the activation complete? Maybe the problem is they are not letting it complete so it keeps trying to kick off and complete the activation.
