Default bb monitoring service - snmp errors

recently had to restore my bes database, after restore, my bb monitoring service is generating snmp errors. "unable to retrieve the blackberry enterprise server data. make sure the snmp agent is started and that this computer has a blackberry enteprise server installed on it."

I looked through the snmp settings on the bes and it all looked fine, but just to be sure, I went through the motions again (snmp was already set up prior to installing bes and bb monitoring services). I entered the IP address of the server with the bb monitoring service this time, and left the previous entry alone (fqdn). After testing the connection, I still get the same error in the server configuration window, and now I get a red error message near the top that says "an snmp configuration error has occurred." RIM keeps asking me if snmp is configured on this device and if it worked prior to the database restore. I have not hear from them in a few days. Any ideas?
