Default Address Book Sync Not Available

Hi Everyone,

I could use some help, because I'm out of ideas.

We have a BES (v4.1.6) hooked up to a Lotus Domino server, and a user is saying his contacts aren't syncing to his BB. I noticed mine won't sync either.

Currently I'm just trying to figure out how to get mine to sync, as I imagine it's the same issue.

I have full access to the BES, and the BES seems to show that Bidirectional Wireless Sync is enabled on the BES and on the phone (When looking in the PIM Sync properties on the BES). However, when I go to the address book settings, the Wireless Sync option says Not Available.

I've tried deleting the Desktop (SYNC) service book from the phone and undeleting it. I've tried resending it from the BES. I've tried turning the Wireless Sync for the Address Book off on the BES, resend service book, re-enable the Wireless sync, and again resend the service book. I've tried reactivating. I've tried removing myself from the BES and then reactivating again.

Nothing seems to work and the Wireless sync option is always just Not Available.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Nothing seems to work.

Default

Syncing Contacts (and Journal) in Notes/Domino consists of one of the following-
The user is a roaming user
-or-
Sync Contacts (names.nsf) with mail file on the server

I prefer Syncing Contacts with my mail file.

If you or your other user logs into iNotes (notes over the web) are you/they able to see the contacts that are on the client? If no, that needs to be remedied first. I can help you with this if necessary.

After this has been solved we'll move to the server next. I'll wait for your response before having you do anything there.

Also, what version of the Notes Client and Domino Server are you running?
