205 Error of multiple 8707g BlackBerries
Hello All,
I currently manage a pool of 40 BlackBerries; 30 of them are the Bold 9000 model, and the others are an older model 8707G. The users I support are located in South Korea, but some of their accounts are hosted on a BES in Singapore, and the others are hosted on a BES in the U.S. The five users who have a 8707G and have an account on the Singapore BES have been frequently receiving a "205 error" for about the past two months. When it happens, I have to reload the firmware and reactivate the device. I talked to the BES admin in Singapore and apparently their users are having the same problem. The BES admin said the only "fix" was to never power down the device. The problem is that these devices occassionally stop synchronizing, and the only solution I've found to get them to resynchronize is to pull the battery and reinsert it, which puts me back at square one with the 205 error. The 8707G's that are hosted on the BES in the U.S. don't have this problem, and the Bold 9000's work fine on both the Singapore BES and the U.S. BES, so the 205 error problem appears to be device-specific and BES-specific. I'm not sure if anyone may have a clue on this, but I'd really appreciate any helpful advice I could relay to the BES admin in Singapore.
Thanks,
Mark
