Just received my 9850 from Verizon. It did not come with a case. Did I get the shaft or is that the way it is?

That's just the way it is. You get the headphones, and that's it.

Yeah, I didn't get headphones either. Just the usb cable and usb-wall adapter. I went to sprint and bought the bodyglove case for mine.

I forgot to mention I got the USB cable and wall adapter as well.

The headphones I got were just the cheap generic black ones. I'll probably never use them. Nothing to get excited about.

Another thing that you get is a 16GB media card. This is by no means universal across providers.

Wow, that would be cool. Mine came with no memory card at all. I just got a 16GB one off eBay for less than $16.00 and free shipping, though.

I can't remember the last time I bought a new phone that came w/acase plus aftermarket cases are usually better. I ordered a case/holster/screen protectors the same day I ordered the phone online.

-Verizon screen protectors (3 pack -- ordered w/phone)
-OEM BB hard case (ordered from eBay)
-Callet leather holster (ordered from eBay)

I would have bought an Incipio feather case but it wasn't on their site at the time I ordered my phone but I will eventually.

EDIT: you can find an Incipio feather case for about $10 cheaper on eBay (some come with a car charger).

No headphones here either, but they'd be collecting dust regardless.

I could use a nice belt holster that SHOULD be included.

Agree on the holster, but my 9650 holster is doing ok for it for now.

If it makes you feel any better, the 9930 (at least from Sprint) doesn't come with a media card.
