Holes on BB case

I recently purchased a blackberry 9930 case from case-mate, and I noticed there is an small hole under the hole for the camera flash, in the back. Under the hole there does not appear to be anything special. Any info? Thanks.

Some of us theorize it's exposing a bit of the NFC antenna. You should see a slice of silver metal in that hole.

It must be for something else.

NFC works at 13.56 MHZ. That signal easily goes through plastic cases. No need to have a hole in the case for NFC.

Yes and also the mic is used for noise reduction system where it monitors the ambient noise to normalize the sound waves to improve call quality... that's what I read.
