Isn't the Curve 9360 basically the same thing as this? Don't get why they named it the 97xx. Meh oh well...

I doubt you will see any BlackBerry named "Bold" or "Curve" as those are legacy devices and that is what BB10 is moving away from. And considering there have already been at least three iterations of the Bold that name is for lack of better phrasing, played out.

It is known as a Bold isn't it? Especially given the 97xx series number. A better question is why 9720 when 9780 and 9790 have already been done. Going backwards is somewhat confusing to consumers. 9799 would make more sense, especially if this is going to be one of the last BBOS devices.

They can't call it the 9799 or whatever, because the 9780 and 9790 are both better than the 9720. The numbers aren't just random ya know?

It's not a Curve keyboard, it's exactly the BlackBerry 8700 keyboard, long before the first Curve existed.

You and I know that, but most consumers out there don't. Their naming scheme is somewhat confusing.

Their naming scheme pissed me off as soon as they started naming the new storms as torches.
