Hi all

I have facing a serious problem with my Blackberry 9720 which is around 18 months old. Around 2 months ago it started to switch off without warning and I could only get it running after removing the battery. This used to happen once in a week so I choose to ignore it, however after that it started happening every now and then. I took the phone to the service centre who formatted the phone and reinstalled the OS. For 2 days it ran without a hitch and then the problem recurred again.

After that I purchased a new battery and for 2 days the phone was without any issue. However boom immediately after 2 days, the problem resurfaced. I have not installed any third party software except Whatsapp (which I was using all this days).

I am completely frustrated, and haven't found any concrete solution online.

Try putting a paper between the battery and battery door

It might even be whatsapp causing the problems. Did you try a reload without restoring a backup for two days or more?
