    I don't know what I did but now every time I receive an email there are 3 pings - it is very annoying and I cannot figure out how to change it on my 9720 Bold.

    Go to Options > Sounds for selected profile > Messages - notifiers. Select the email account. Scroll down to "Count" and set how many times you want to have the tone repeat. Options are 1 to 3.

    in the settings there should be a way to change the notifications. Set the profile for vibrate and see what is set for email
