Wow that's surprising. No, it should not be part of set up. One last question, go to Menu and hit Show All. Maybe the icon is hidden somehow.

If not, then yah, you might need to go to BBW.

Try a universal search from the home screen, I have a 9720 but I removed the maps app coz it is useless at my country, I'll try to reinstall and report back.
