Thanks to all; Phantom looks like it would work but I've not found a download. I am using the Today Plus theme now, but it still sticks me with a full page of icons for applications. If you like Icons, that's great, but I come from a background of public safety where form should follow function, and having things like a cutesy icon of a woman to indicate voicedialing is simply nonsensical to me. Worse is Blackberry's propensity for cramming indicators like voicemail into miniscule icons that are not immediately obvious at a glance inside a bouncing vehicle in dim light. Put bluntly, what could be a dynamite communication device is hampered in my mind (sigh...perhaps the only mind out there that is so-hampered) with the inability to make it useful. I'd like to have a whopping obvious indicator for voice mail--say a 1/2" square icon if one must have an icon--and the ability to simply list the function in text so I can have my half-dozen commonly used functions clickable from one page, instead of having to flip between two pages as I must even with the "Today" theme. Soooo...if anyone comes up with a solution for this poor text-based, DOS-missing, iconoclastic whiner, I'd sure be glad to hear of it!! Thanks again to all who responded and hoping somebody finds my silver digital bullet for this conundrum.....
