I have a blackberry tour which bricked itself and i don't have the cord to connect it to my computer. But I have my old World (which broke bceause it wouldn't make outgoing calls.) If I put the Tour SIM into the World, will it work, maybe?
not exactly. the SIM card slot ijn the world phone is designed for use outside of north america, and the world phone has some code in it to prevent it from using a SIM card that did not come from the company you bought it from.
Go to the store that you got your Tour from and see if they can fix or replace it.

The purpose of the SIM is to use the phone on a GSM network. The SIM has no purpose at all for Verizon's network. You could use a Verizon phone with no SIM card at all.
