I am about one year into my contract with Verizon and looking to upgrade from my antiquated 7130e. I really want the curve, but that is not going to happen anytime soon. On verizon's website they list the pearl $150 cheaper than the 8830. Why?

Its because of the demand. Initially demand for the Pearl was way up because everyone wanted a smaller BB. But people soon realized a full keyboard is better than the Pearl's 2 letters per key keyboard. Plus, it's much better (personal opp.)
