Hi, this is my first Blackberry (8830) and just getting used to it. I thought I remembered that the volume control buttons worked any time. Now they don't work unless I'm on a call. I wondered if it could be something to do with installing Berrybuzz. Anyone know if Berrybuzz affects those buttons, or do I just have a bad phone?

Berrybuzz should not affect your buttons. Berrybuzz just changes your LED light color. So you might just have a bad berry. ( Bend it over your knee and give it a couple of spankings j/k) I use Berrybuzz and do not have that problem.

My volume buttons only work on phone calls, when playing media such as, videos, music, and when streaming video or music. But not when phone is in homescreen or anything else.

Well, then maybe it ain't broke. I could be thinking of my old palm.
