I'm a new BB 8830 WE user. The Voice Dialing feature was working fine both when my bluetooth device (Plantronics 222) was and was not enabled.

Now, when the bluetooth device is enabled, I get the "Initializing,please wait..." message and it does not clear. This occurs when I try to activate Voice Dialing from the bluetooth device or directly from the BB. I've tried another Plantronics 222 and it still happens.

I don't know what I did to the BB to make this happen. Can anyone help?

Have you tried pulling out the battery while the phone is ON?

Keep it out for 30 seconds or a bit more.

That generally resets things.

Is your BT device capable of voice dialing on the 8830?

I just bought 2 8830s and the same is happening to me. I've called Sprint to complain so that I can get replacements. The alarm on them won't work either. Good Luck.
