    Unhappy Visual C++ Runtime Library

    I'm getting the following error when trying to sync to my Microsoft Outlook 2003.

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error
    Runtime Error!
    Program: .....\BlackBerry\DesktopManager.exe
    Abnormal program termination.

    According to the Blackberry Technical Solutions, the cause is as follows -

    "If you are running Microsoft Outlook 2000, it was installed with the installation type set to Internet Mail Only."

    The resolution is as follows -

    "Change the installation type to Corporate or Workgroup. For instructions, go to the Microsoft Support Knowledge Base and search for articles 195507 and 195430."

    I'm still not getting anywhere because I have Outlook 2003 and not 2000.

    Anyone know how to fix this?

    Help, please!

    I posted this in another forum as well, and there has been no feedback as to whether it worked, but...use msconfig and check "startup" to see if Roxwatchtray or Roxwatchtray9 is running. Uncheck it and try again.

    Aristoles, it did not work for me. I am getting the above with "Program is asking to terminate it in an unusual way.
    This is when I dbl/click on media manger in Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.3. I have unistalled & reinstalled 4 times, reverted back to Windows Media Player 10 from 11, Uninstalled & reinstalled with McAfee security service turned off, chatted with tech support from AT&T. This is on a 8310 Curve & had a 8700c for 2 years prior. All othe applications/programs in the media manager work fine. I use BB Internet service for my emails accounts. I have gone to BB site & they have a solution for the BB Enterprise server or the sync, & have gone to Roxio site & tried thier solutions to no avail...any help here would be much appreciated
