I admit that I am new to bb's and do not understand all the terms we use in discussing our berrys. I want to know if I have the GPS program that everyone is talking about already.
I have maps as an application. I can map to specific locations, get directions to and from addresses and such from the TeleAtlas on my 8830.
Is there a different application that is in the works for our 8830's?
BBrian they are talking about the autonomous GPS receiver built into the 8830 that VZW intentionally disabled. Mapping programs such as Blackberry Maps and others will still work on the phone but you can't get live turn by turn driving instructions or specific map location of where you are.
