verizon blackberry 8830 flashed to cricket

i got a verizon blackberry 8830 world edtion and i flashed it to cricket....when i call 611 and *228 it is on cricket...i called and gave them the esn under the battery to do a esn swap from another flashed phone..they told me to dial *22804 to activiate it...when i do that the phone screen goes to searching for cdma and says call failed.....when i dial regular *228 it says please hold while we program your phone then after a few minutes it says we are unable to program it at this time.....anyone else had this problem or know what might be wrong...thanks in advance

i used unipst to flash it and im in north carolina....i have flashed other phones but this was my first blackberry and didnt realize you had to manually program it...the signal and everything is real good...i have two other phones on cricket a LG Dare and motorola q9 and dont have any complaints...i pay for the 60 dollar plan so i always have service no matter where iam

well the info i have says use qxdm not unipst or qpst but thats what i have anyway
