    Default Upgrading to 4.5?

I am still not 100% certain if I want to do this or not, but I think I do.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a link to download the file?

And ... does anyone have a suggestion to do or not to do it?

    Thanks.

If you feel comfortable with the process and you have read up on the procedure, then you will be fine.

At this point, you seem unsure and uncertain! You want to know for sure and have a good idea of what you are doing!

I cannot provide a link for the 8830 OS 4.5, but follow the link in my signature for a tutorial on how to upgrade your OS!

The OS 4.5 is not out for CDMA. Anything you download would be an illegally hosted file. Not to say its not out there. .70 for CDMA is in testing, .56 is what most have, .66 might be able to be found.

Upgrading the OS is not hard, but neither is it trivial, especially if you are still learning to use your device. If you try it before you're familiar with the device and its operation, you will have a hard time following the procedure and will almost certainly end up with a non-functioning device. And upgrading to an unofficial beta is even riskier still. You've got time. Wait; then when the official 4.5 is released, you'll know what you're doing and Brian's excellent procedure will be much easier to follow.
