Trying to figure out what an icon is...

I have a tiny little icon on my screen underneath the date between the battery and the profile indicators, and it looks like either an old timey casset tape or maybe a strereo. It is grey with two black circles on it. I cannot figure out what it means. and I cannot seem to make it go away. I have erased all my logs/messages, and my voicemail is empty. I have also opened and closed every application on this thing.

Does anybody know what that icon is, and what it means and how I can make it go away?

I have only had this phone for a week, but I just noticed the icon there yesterday.

Sounds like a voicemail to me. Call yourself, leave a voicemail, and see what gives...

You are correct!!!

But the strange thing was I received a voice mail yesterday and listened to it, deleted it but the icon didn't go away...I was thinking it was voicemail too, and I have checked my voicemail about 3 times since I noticed the icon, and had no messages, but it still didn't go away.

I just called myself from another phone and left myself voicemail. I didn't get a notification for vm, but I checked it anyway, and as soon as I deleted it, the icon went away!

I guess I must have confused it yesterday, because I checked it pretty quick after it was left. Don't know!!

Sometimes that happens to me. Usually a battery pull will correct it. Same goes for incorrect message counters.
