Trackball problem

anyone know how to fix the trackball! it will only go down when i hold the screen just to the right of the ball! i let go and it doesnt work! 8830 bb

You can try cleaning your trackball.
Turn the 8830 off.
Hook a fingernail under the silver ring that holds the ball in place and pop it off.
Turn the 8830 over and the trackball will fall out.
Then use a q-tip dipped in alcohol to wipe the cavity.
Clean the roller pickups on the trackball as well.
Reassemble and turn it back on and see if that helped.
