I've had this Red 8830 for a couple months now, with my renewed 2 yr contract and I love it. But I'm thinking that I could use some MMS and a Camera. I didn't get the curve in the first place because I didn't think i would want a camera, but now that I don't have it, I want it, lol.

So, approx. how much would switching to a curve cost?

I have the 8330 and love it. It depends on how deep your pockets are.

If you feel like you really have to have that phone, call your carrier and see what they could do for you. Asking questions here only gets you opinions, but nothing concrete. Only you know how much you are willing to shell out for a new phone. If possible, sell the one you have to at least recoup some of the cost.

Thank you for the help, lex =)

But that's not really my question, I just want to know a ballpark range of the cost it will be

Probably $330 on ebay. Otherwise, if your contract isn't up, more like $569.

    Okay. thanks.

and sorry if I'm bugging you guys, but if I bought a curve, could I just go to the store and have one of the workers deactivate the 8830 and then activate the 8330 for the same number?

you would call vzw cs and they would have to do an esn change, which would allow you to have you number on the 8330 and disable the 8830.
