I just recently switched to the 8830 from a sidekick 2 last week. I love everything about it except, my text messages and call log are continuously disappearing without any consent. I have read previously it is a memory issue but I deleted a fair amount of ringtones/pictures and the problem is still occuring. I am not so concerned with the call log being deleted, but I need my text messages to be saved. Is there anyway this can be fixed?
I also am having problems with the ringtone section. I deleted a good amount of ringtones to free up space thinking that would make my text messages/call log not disappear. I deleted them and they are not showing up in the device memory but are still showing up under the ringtones to preview, is there anyway I can clear the deleted ringtones out of the player?
