My is being super slow. Esp. With messenger. For example I will be talkin to some1 they will get my message then I don't get their message. Or I do maybe an hour later. Or ill do a batt pull and they will come through. It really only seems to be messenger. Last night I did a random batt. Pull and got like 4 new messages. Any ideas on how to fix this or anything?!?

    Thanks

What's your file free? Options>status. You're more than likely low on memoury.

12MB is the minimum to keep your device operational at a stable level.

Wow. That's super low. Do a search for the memoury optimization guide here on cb. Follow it, and you'll be fine.

The link Jenaywins referred you to is the CrackBerry Memory Optimization Procedure that's linked in my sig. The safe lower limit is 12 000 000 bytes as she said. You have 4 804 645 bytes.

What is your free memory now? 8830's have less free memory to start with than most other 64M devices, so if you can get above 20 000 000 bytes with some apps installed that's good.

That's definitely not good. 12 000 000 is the safe minimum. But you may be able to get away with running at 8 142 923. It's not a go/no-go situation.

It's more like getting close to the edge of a cliff. If you stay back far enough, there's no way you can fall off. As you get closer, your risk increases. You may be able to get right up to the edge, but then a tiny pebble rolling could cause you to fall.

12 000 000 is safe. 8 000 000 is not as safe, but is probably safe enough most of the time. But you have little to no margin for error. If the risk of losing your call logs, text messages, and old calendar appointments, and having generally slower operations is acceptable, then you can probably get by at 8 000 000.

Yea that's what I though. I deleted opera mini because I rarely use it so now I'm at 11898031 Bytes so that's better. I just don't know what else I can delete to give me more room!

Have you performed the MOP? Gotten rid of unused vendor themes? Removed VAD? If you've done all that, then you're probably about as good as you can get.
