    I have a new 8830 and was wondering if there is quick way to put the phone in silent mode in case you have to meet with someone?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Click on the Profiles icon, and select Quiet. Depending on the theme you use, this can either be on the main screen or the icon screen.

    I have my convenience key set to profiles just for this purpose.
