First thanks so far for the advice and help. I downloaded a ring tone from here and the volume is low !!! I have tried everything when it rings it is low .If I hit the side volume it cuts off I have all settings on high!

From what I've read, 8830s are rather notorious for low ring volumes. Do a search of the forums and you'll find threads and suggestions.

a lot of times i have downloaded different versions of the ringtone and they all seem to ringer louder or softer... sometimes i think it depends on the ringtone not the phone.
