Pushing Hotmail

I just got my blackberry 8830 verizon w.e. All i have is an hotmail account. I was wondering how do i get it to "push" i heard about the bis 2.5 upgrade but i stil see no push. Do i have to go in to my hotmail and type my phone email into the foward box or does it do it automatically after i set up my account through the BIS on the cpu. PLEASEEEEEEEEEE HELPPPPPP. ALSO my emails arnt showing in html any pointers?

You can set it up on your cpu, or you can just select your email settings icon on your phone and do it through there... If you set it up on your computer, there are a few more settings you can change, but you are able to do it on either...

Also, you wont get html emails until you have an OS 4.5 on your phone.. none of the current cdma phones, that don't have beta software have the ability to view html emails...

You need to have Hotmail premium in order to use the address on a Blackberry I believe. Also, you won't get HTML emails unless you have OS 4.5 or a third party viewer.

thank you for the warm welcome. I have 4.5 on my phone. how do i get my hotmail to push to my phone. do i foward it or it does it automatically after i have signed up for bis with my hotmail in which i already did?

i have the free version of hotmail. it will only push for premimum not free?

I have an 8130 Pearl through another carrier, not Verizon...but I have my Hotmail pushed through Outlook. I believe only the older...2003

version will do this though. The new version will not. Once you set up your Outlook, you should be able to setup Hotmail in your Blackberry account and it will detect the settings.

Nope, i have the free hotmail account, and after the update last night i set up hotmail, and it pushed in about 10 minutes... been receiving hotmail since.... But i don't have 4.5 on my 8830 yet so i don't have html.... And yes, you will not get html unless you have 4.5...

Also for what it's worth, i set up my hotmail account in 2005 apparently according to MSN....
