    Hello -
Have a BB 8830 and this has happened before. When I try to change the Desktop Manager to a higher or lower version, I get an error on my networked work PC. I hate to ask I/T to help me again, they are going to kill me!

So anyway, now when I start Desktop Manager, Windows Installer pops up with "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resouse that is unavailable" and it asks me if I want to Search for it. I cannot find any .msi files on my PC. Any ideas? I can log in as admin should I try that? If I do, I cannot update my stuff from Outlook.

Not sure what is up, any ideas?

That dam .msi file thing is a pain. I had that happen to me when I tried to install an OS upgrade. It turns out that something happened to the file that corrupted it. The only solution I had was to re-download the software and go again. Hope this helps.
