actually no. sms means short message service...

what you are talking about is an mms or multimedia message service.

you CAN send one on verizon..

or use an email and send it as an attachment..

Not with the 8830. Since it has no camera, Verizon disabled the MMS capability on it.

When someone sends you a picture as MMS, Verizon sends you a link and you have to go pick it up from there. Still works to a degree.

8830 will NOT send a picture through text messaging. As has been explained in this thread, text is SMS, picture messages are MMS. MMS is disabled onthe 8830.

You have to attach is to an email if you want to send it.
