what is the latest version of OS and how do I find which one I'm using, I've had my BB for about a year now, with no changes. Also is there a post for the best apps to have?

to find the one your are using press and hold alt then type eace. and to find the answers to your other questions click the search link in my sig

Options / About is another way to see your OS version. If your device is a year old, it's probably running 4.2.2.176 or earlier. 4.2.2.196 is the latest officially released version for Verizon, although there are indications that a version of 4.5 could be released imminently.
