Have an issue where if someone calls my 8830, they hear like 3+ rings before I hear any ring- by that time, if I run to where my phone is and get there before my phone stops ringing (2 audible rings that I hear) I get call- otherwise, I have bunch of people who think I am not answering phone.
Anyone else have this issue- very annoying.
Verizon is no help claiming that it's a cell issue- that callers hear 3 rings on their end before I hear any is due to cell-site transmission- I don't think so.
Any way to fix this?
Thanks.
Found app called VibeandRing- this should take care of it- still waiting for dload link to actually try but looks like it should do trick.

Reason: New Info
I'm surprised they did not suggest you dial *228. Give that a shot to reactivate with your local cell towers.
I agree, do *228 and update your PRL (option 2). I have never heard it take 3+ rings before hitting the phone, but I guess anything is possible. Usually it is just 1 for me... This also hasn't been affected by OS upgrades on my phones throughout the years. Anyway, good luck.
Updated roaming via *228- will see if that helps...runninng OS:
4.5.0.160 (build 253)...latest that I am aware of...latest 4.5 build...later builds may be out there but haven't looked that hard yet..this occurs w/last 3OSes...maybe Verizon is correct when they tell it's transmission issue- at least in SoCal...still sounds strange to me...just tested afer roaming update and lag-time is down to 1 ring- so only missing 1 ring at this point.
