I just got the BB 8830 from sprint and loving it except for the fact that I can't get my contacts from my palm treo 700p to sync over. i've tried to use the desktop manager and use the switch device wizard but it won't recognize my palm even tho it is plugged in and i can do a hot sync meaning the pc recognizes it as being plugged in. I'm asking for any help on this that some one can provide me ASAP...thanx a mil in advance

Have you not been syncing your Treo contacts w/ Outlook? If you have , all you need to do is sync your BB w/ Outlook.

I tried that but my bb isn't picking up the contacts or maybe outlook isn't copying the contacts from my treo

**update** I fixed it. it was an update for the treo to properly sync with outlook 07 that i needed to download and once i did that then all my contacts transfered over without a problem :-D

Did you have to go through outlook, or were you able to transfer directly from palm software to bb software?
