In the BlackBerry 8830 manual it shows the legend for a MMS message and whatnot... but on my TELUS 8830 I cannot send or receive MMS messages, what gives?

Telus, Sprint, and Alltel all block MMS on BlackBerry phones. There is no way around this. If you don't like that, complain to Telus. The only way you can send a picture is through email.

I believe that Verizon only block MMS on BlackBerry phones that do not have a camera like the 8830.

^^^^ Das right. MMS works on 8130 Blackberries on Verizon.

They simply don't have software on their network to handle how MMS are sent and received on BBs.

Another blow to Sprint! ... why did I switch from VZW again? ... oh thats right GPS ... I guess you cant have it ALL with any ONE carrier
