Hi Everybody,

Fantastic forum! I just purchased the 8830 WE and I'm having trouble with the notifications given on the "messages" category on the home page. My previous Blackberry Pearl would just alert me to text and email messages but this phone is also adding every missed call and voice mail to that category. This can get annoying seeing that in two categories.

How do I set the alerts so that it just shows text messages and emails?

You want to remove missed calls and voicemail alerts from the Messages Folder?

Go to your Phone Dialer screen > Options > Call Logging, and select NONE.

Then, in your Messages Folder > Options > General Options > scroll to bottom > SMS and Email Inboxes = Separate.

Now, you won't get missed calls in your message folder and voice mail alerts (I believe) will stay in your SMS folder.
