I have a backup of my old phone (8700 T-Mobile different company) and a backup of my new phone (8830 Verizon new employer) I've had the 8830 since it came out and realized how many of my contacts I need out of my old phone.

Is there a way to merge the old phone address book into the new phones address book and not have it just completely get rid of my current (8830) address book deleted and replaced with the old (8700) address book?

If you still have your old device, you can use the switch device wizard in the blackberry desktop manager software. That'll migrate your old data to your new device.
