The larger microSD allows you to store more media, etc, and save other files....but you can also run pgms from it....with some help.

When I dl a program ota, I save it to the microSD card and run it with Aerize. While I'm not trying to plug Aerize - no connection to company or industry at all - its also the first BB pgm I bought and it works very well on my vzn 8830WE.
